How does God find you a wife...........it seems to be a constant message by many posters on here. How does this work in practice ?

I don't think he does.
Tongue in cheek (Working full-time I often think I could do with the traditional view of a wife from 20 years ago or rather how I was when I was married - someone to clean the house; answer the phone; do the gardening; do the shopping, cooking and washing-up; help me with my work; collect the kids; make me a mug of tea when I come home and ask how my day went; and, best of all, do the ironing!)
Now I've come on the site I've also realised I should change my profile to 'looking for friends, really enjoying being single but doesn't want to preclude the possibility of more in the future'.

For yrs. i expected God to sort it out that i would meet someone at churches, conferences, but nothing , in churches hard to find any singles then i tried 2 singles groups, --- not good , single men tied to apron strings of mother, widowers meet on the way back from graveyard often wanting some like their late wife ,all single people that i have known are married but they set out to get a husband , almost a full time job even on this site i do not want to compromise my basic beliefs the smaller things we must compromise on , a relationship has to be worked at, not like the woman married 20yrs asking the husband if he still loved her -----his reply was that he had told her 20yrs. ago that he loved her and that he had not changed his mind ,but that if he did he would tell her. LOL i still believe that God has a husband somewhere in the world for me if anyone has the answer please let me know ,in bible days a marriaage would have been arranged but you had a choice, met young Indian Doctor who was shortly meeting bride he was laughing and was looking forward to it , thank you Matthew for RAISING THE POINT THAT MOST OF US HAVE JOINED THIS SITE FOR ------eLIZABETH729

yer i often reinvent myself and I'm currently styling myself on john the baptist. Wearing a cheeky lil number of camels hair right now.
